FONE FIX – TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.1. All parts & labour used for repair are covered under a 1 year warranty policy. Refurbished and second hand devices are covered under a 3 month warranty period.
1.2. Fone Fix is not responsible for voiding any existing warranty any device has with manufactures, network providers or insurance policies as a result of any product or service.
1.3. Warranty repairs or refunds can only be issued after an assessment by our technicians to determine the cause of the fault.
1.4. Additional charges will apply for devices experiencing issues that are not related to the initial service
Your warranty will be voided if,
1.5. Devices that experience additional issues after repair that cannot be resolved are not covered under warranty.
1.6. Your device and/or replaced parts show signs of any physical damage, liquid damage or software misuse regardless of how the damage occurred.
1.7. The devices has been serviced by a third party.
1.8. We are unable to fully test the device before or after a service.
1.9. The serial/imei number does not match the serviced device.
2. Pricing & Quotations
2.1. Pricing and quotations are approximate and are subject to change at any time. Account holders receive 10% discount for all repairs, products and services.
Company Account Holders:
3.1. Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue.
3.2. For general, walk in repairs, payment is required upon collection of the completed product or service.
Fees may apply for any of the following:
4.1 Late invoice payment $30
4.2. Surcharge for card transactions 2%
4.3. Service fee for devices beyond repair $50
4.4. Late collection handling fee $50
4.5. Postage and shipping handling fee: $20
5. Turnaround Time
5.1. Turnaround time is approximate and is subject to change for all services.
6.1. Only official service centres offer “original parts”. Phone companies and manufacturers do not sell parts for their devices. All the parts used by Fone Fix have been assembled to the highest of quality and put through a rigorous testing process before installation.
7.1. You will have 30 days to collect your device after the service completion date.
7.2. Any completed services that are not collected within 30 days, a late collection handling fee will be charged.
7.3. Any completed services that are not collected within 90 days may be surrendered and recycled.
7.4. We must receive authorisation before a completed service can be collected by a third party.
8.1. We do not cover any outgoing shipping costs including failed warranty claims and devices that have been assessed as beyond economic repair.
8.2. Handling fee plus shipping costs may apply.
8.3. For account holders a free courier service is available in Sydney CBD areas.
Refunds do not apply if,
9.1. The device has had call barring activated by its network or is locked with any kind of security ID.
9.2. The warranty policy has not been met.
9.3. The warranty period has expired.
9.4. The device can’t be assessed by a Fone Fix technician.
9.5. Your service was for data recovery and you have paid and collected the data.
9.6. You do not have the receipt.
9.7. The device has been registered as lost, stolen, blacklisted, blocked or barred for any reason .
10.1. Fonefix is not responsible for any damage caused to the device as a result of any product or service.
10.2. Fone Fix is not responsible for any damage or loss caused by using postal or courier services.
10.3. Fone Fix is not responsible for loosing any data stored on device as a result of product or service.
11.1. Turnaround time is approximate and is subject to change.
11.2. Unlock services can be rejected, if the unlock was rejected due to the device being registered as lost, stolen, blacklisted, blocked or barred for any reason no refund will be issued.
11.3 Once an unlock has been processed, it can’t be cancelled.
12.1. Services may on occasion need to be completed off site, in this event Fone Fix will cover any courier costs between service locations.
13. Data Recovery
13.1. You will need to provide 1 strong form of government issued identification such as a driver’s license or passport. Including your name, date of birth, signature and current address. A scanned copy of your ID is kept on record.
13.2. This is a data recovery service only – no device repair processes are included. These are sold separately.
13.2. In some instances existing warranty may be voided as a function of the data recovery service.
13.3. Fone Fix will never proceed with a data recovery if it is clear that anyone’s privacy is being violated or compromised or if the law is being broken.
13.4. If during the process of data recovery we have any reason to believe someone’s privacy may be compromised or we uncover anything that indicates illegality then data recovery work will immediately cease, any fees charged will be non-refundable and you will be notified of our findings promptly.
13.5. You are responsible for ensuring that the device belongs to you personally. (If any 3rd party owns the device they will need to bring the device in themselves – this is to ensure that there no chance of anyone’s privacy being violated or compromised). It is your responsibility to disclose this information and in any event the data recovery has violated or compromised a person’s privacy, you take full responsibility.
13.6. It is your responsibility to ensure that the device has not been obtained illegitimately for the purpose of recovering data that does not belong to you. This is a criminal act and you will be held fully accountable for any legal action that may result from doing so.
Device & Data Security Process & Procedures:
13.7. We take your data security seriously. Trust us to respect your privacy and protect your information from falling into the wrong hands.
13.8. Rigorous security procedures are followed by all Fone Fix staff present in any store at all times. In some cases your device may be taken off site to recover the data.
Data security procedures:
13.9. All data is passcode protected while stored on any Fone Fix hard drive. After your data has been recovered and you have received it any stored data will be automatically deleted after 7 days.
14.1.For all services the customer has to sign this legally binding terms and conditions document prior to the commencement of work on this count — guaranteeing neither is the case — and indemnifying Fone Fix fully and completely from any liability that may arise due to any misrepresentation or negligence on their part. At any time prior to completion of a service Fone Fix can change, amend or edit any part of the terms and conditions.
15. Secondhand Dealer Services
15.1.Any information provided to the licensee by or about a customer in relation to the trading of second – hand goods may be furnished to the police
15.2. You have a legal right to claim goods from our premises that you have a good reason to believe are yours. Go to any police station and a officer will advise you of your rights and what you will need to do.
15.3. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the device is legitimate.
15.4. You will need to provide 1 strong form of government issued identification such as a driver’s license or passport. Including your name, date of birth, signature and current address. A scanned copy of your ID is kept on record.
15.5. You are required to complete Form 1 of the pawnbrokers and secondhand dealers act 1996 for all goods offered or pawned
16. Refurbished and secondhand goods
16.1. All devices sold by Fone Fix are refurbished or second hand and are purchased as seen. Secondhand and refurbished devices may have pre existing issues that have not been identified and have had third party components used inside the device.
16.2. All refurbished and secondhand goods are covered under a 3 months warranty.
17. Repair Notice
17.1. . Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.
17.2. During the process of repair, some or all of your stored data may be lost. Please ensure that you have saved this data elsewhere prior to repair.
